I've been here twice, and the service was very friendly and fast. Unfortunately, I was not very impressed by the food. Much of the it was very generic. Sides seemed canned and main courses were pretty bland. There are other family restaurants in the area with much better food.

Came across Shelly's after we had left our weekend getaway, and they offered an breakfast buffet. It was ayce for less then $10! Food was good, and fresh. Eggs, sausages, bacon, French toast, pancakes, salads, soups. The potato fries were awesome! They would also come around and ask how you want your eggs. The staff was extremely nice, and caring. Always asking you if you needed something and how things were. Great family owned vibe at this place! A+++

An okay place for breakfast and lunch. The staff and customers are super friendly. Good prices.

We have only been once. But overall it was a good experience..minus the creepy guy who kept starring..but that's not the restaurants fault..lol Great tasting food. Meatloaf, burgers, and assorted food was ordered. All good (salad bar was a little lacking though..could add ranch to the dressings!! :) ) Great prices Nice staff (the kids were given suckers after they ate their meals!) Clean restrooms They offer frequent visitor coupons and specials They take credit We would return for sure!

I seem to end up at this restaurant any time I visit my family in the area. I absolutely love their breakfast! I recommend the #9 and add some sausage gravy to the top! Everything I have had here is very tasty and the service is good.

We were in the area and stopped in. The food was ok. However, I was creeped out about the greasiness of the desert menu and the inch of dust on the window sill next to our table. Made me wonder what else they let slide. 2 stars for decor & cleanliness.

My wife and I come sometimes for breakfast. Food is good, the price is right, but the service varies quite a lot depending on your luck. By the way this restaurant is listed as $$$$, which to me means 'very expensive'. But I think that is inaccurate. Thier website indicates the following prices, for example: 4 oz hamburger ($3.79), 16 chicken wings ($7.99), baked haddock ($11.95) and chicken Parm ($11.95; Senior portion $8.95!). These prices are quite reasonable and completely in line with other local restaurants such as Kundla's, Charcoal Chuck's BBQ and Trio's. If they are $$ then this restaurant should definitely be $$ too.

I'm sorry, I am having a hard time finding the appeal of this place. The buffet looked unappetizing so we ordered off the menu. The waitress filled our order by going over to the buffet and told us it "would take a long time" if she didn't do it that way. Isn't that the idea?? Turns out it didn't matter - we waited forever for our breakfast and it was cold. Our waitress was unfriendly and this was accentuated by her friendliness and speediness directed at a regular behind us. We won't be returning.

We have visiting Shelly's for the past seven years, since relocating to the area. We stop usually on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Denise, Sheri, Kristen, Mandy are always pleasant and eager to please. Pat always strikes up a conversation with us. Thanks. Enjoyable stop.

The food here is standard diner fair. Which is usually the appeal of eating at a diner. The buffet is not appetizing and uninteresting. My comment has to do with Mrs. Shelley, one of the owners and she often waits tables. She is very unfriendly. She acts as though waiting on you is an inconvenience. When my family was there the last time, she lofted the silverware so much it bounced across the table. That was the LAST time we will dine there. My recommendation for lunch is Snap Shots down the road, for dinner try Crazy Fingers.

The pancakes I ordered tasted like cardboard. The blueberries appear to have been forgotten in the batter, so the cook threw them inbetween the pancakes. For the trouble, I was given 3 free pancakes. 3 more cardboardy and unappetizing pancakes. Whoever served me also didn't tell me that the free stack of pancakes were plain. You'd think a family diner would be able to get pancakes right. If you're from Los Angeles-- you will be disappointed. If you have worked in food service like I have-- you will be insulted. Haven't tried anything else on the menu but I think I'll save my money.

Visiting my brother's family and came here for breakfast for the first time. Waitress was disinterested and inefficient. Took forever to come over, forever to get our drinks and ditto on the food delivery. At one point she refilled three of the four coffees at our table and when the pot was empty left and didn't return to refill the fourth. The diner was NOT busy at all and it was not during the breakfast buffet - we had three kids and four adults - no kids menu so when the kids ordered, instead of just charging us for a standard breakfast meal at $6.50 or less, she charged us for each individual side the kids ordered. "He didn't want toast or home fries so that wasn't a meal." So you charge us more because the children ordered less food?? I was FLOORED. Every diner waitress I have encountered everywhere have been familiar with their own menu and make suggestions for what meals to get based on your breakfast order should it be a hungover morning or in this case a kid. Horrible customer service. And the food.....forgettable to gross. The butter was like margarine or some chemical outer space butter and was nasty. The pancakes were below the level of McDonalds pancakes. Weird texture - not good. One of the kids complained it tasted weird and was tearing at the pancakes with his knife to pull it apart. I thought he was being a pain until I received my pancakes and they wouldn't cut through with a butter knife. I decided they weren't worth the extra calories to try to finish them. This area needs a breakfast place with fresh local Ingredients to compete with the horrible customer service and low quality food.

Arrived. Waited for someone to seat us way too long considering there were a ton of tables open. The lady finally arrived to seat us and was not very friendly. We sat down and waited more than a few minutes for the waitress to arrive. Our waitress was even less friendly than the original lady. She took our drink order and we ordered our food. The food took a while to come out. I ordered the breakfast wrap and it was tiny! Maybeeeee 1 slice of bacon in it. I had to order an extra side of it. The waitress also came over to refill my coffee and there was only enough to fill it halfway. She left and did not return with a new pot. She was either completely inexperienced (which I highly doubt), or just completely does not care at all (more likely the case).

Good local eating establishment. Portions are ample and the food is always good. Breakfast is my favorite but the soup and salad bar during the day is good as well. The atmosphere is easy going and the service is friendly.

Came here with a friend while looking for property in Lake Ariel. It was a late lunch. We were seated promptly and our server was attentive. She took our drink and food order quickly. It was not a long wait time for the food to arrive. The food was tasty. My burger was juicy and tasty. My fries were lacking they seemed almost stale. I would come back and try again when in the area.

Nice, local hometown restaurant. Weekend breakfast buffet is nice. Its nothing hugely fancy but a great selection of food perfectly priced and most of it is good quality. Always friendly staff. The regular menu is consistently good. Nice selection on the menu..

I absolutely love this place! My parents live by there and stop in to eat at least once a week and when my family and I go up to visit we make sure to stop in and eat. The staff is beyond friendly and I love every dish they have to offer. I leave there satisfied and stuffed!

This place is ok if you do not know any other local spots. If you do, it lacks. Staff is very kind and attentive. Food is eh and prices are a bit much for what they offer. I will definitely be frequenting Ron's down the road from now on!
